Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport
Travel · Infrastructure
The primary airport serving Alaska, at 5000 W International Airport Rd in Anchorage. Named after Senator Ted Stevens, who served from 1968 to 2009. Handles nearly 6 million passengers a year, is the 4th largest cargo airport in the world, and accounts for 1 in 7 jobs in Anchorage. It is, by a wide margin, the most critical piece of infrastructure on the SuperList. Also there’s a stuffed bear in the terminal.
