Hot Coffee, Mississippi, got its name from a traveler’s inn that served, you guessed it, really good hot coffee. A man named Davis brewed it with pure spring water and New Orleans beans, using molasses as a sweetener. People loved it so much they named the whole town after the drink. There is not currently a Starbucks.
