A giant roadside stop at 1000 E South Dakota, W Hwy 16 in Oacoma, overlooking the Missouri River. Restaurant, gift shop, and gas — the full experience. It’s been a mandatory pit stop for anyone driving across South Dakota since before the interstate existed. You pull in because you need gas and leave with a buffalo jerky sampler and a t-shirt you’ll wear ironically for exactly one summer.
